Concerned About Sensitive Data Loss? Opti9 to the Rescue

September 28, 2022 | By Greg Dougherty

A strong misconception abounds that managed providers are impervious to data loss. The truth, however, is that accidents can happen at any time, to any business. Finding a provider that takes data backup and protection seriously, therefore, is critical to the well-being of your business.

Opti9 (formerly “Webair”) is one company that is addressing this problem head-on.

Opti9 recently announced that it is now an official Veeam Cloud Provider and is offering Opti9 cloud backup through the highly esteemed Veeam Cloud ConnectVeeam® Software’s advanced and highly secure technology for connecting to cloud repositories and maintaining off-site backups.

Using this exciting new offering, Opti9’s remote enterprise customers can store off-site backups for mission-critical applications in Opti9’s high-performance cloud environment. In the event of a disaster, companies can use Opti9’s fully managed Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS), powered by Veeam Backup & Replication™, to restore virtual machines (VM), and VM hard disks, files, and guest OS files. What’s more, Opti9 streamlines data seeding by allowing customers to send seed data through physical external disks. Customers can also request to have backups placed on external disks for around-the-clock pickup or shipment.

Opti9 offers multiple physical locations through Veeam Cloud Connect, as well as tiered enterprise storage and the ability to use the public Web for data transfers. Additionally, customers will benefit from direct connectivity, as well as both public and private clouds.

Also of note is the fact that Opti9’s high-performance Cloud and managed solutions are HIPAA-HITECH compliant, which means healthcare companies can benefit from them along with companies from other mission-critical industries like finance and e-commerce.
