Webairgiving-circle-award-2018-michael-orza CEO Michael Christopher Orza was recognized at The Giving Circle’s annual Compassion Awards as the 2018 US Based International Team Member of the Year. The Giving Circle is a non-profit based in Saratoga Springs, NY that Webair has proudly supported for many years. Its mission is to match needs within the human community with those who can fulfill them in a spirit of giving, cooperation, and support. “This honor has been awarded to Michael as the individual who has through selfless compassion most influenced and touched people of our international locations of Uganda and Afghanistan,” says a spokesman for The Giving Circle Committee.

One of The Giving Circle’s global programs that has been close to Michael’s heart is the Busoga Primary School in Uganda. “It’s an honor to receive this award for amongst a community I’ve come to consider family,” said Michael Orza, Webair CEO. “What we have been able to achieve with the school and new boarding house in Uganda is a true testament to the power of compassion.” Webair has been a proud supporter of The Giving Circle for more than six years, helping to fund the Busoga Primary School, Kagoma Gate food kitchen, and, most recently, the Robin’s Nest Koi Koi House.

The Koi Koi House is a project that is especially close to Michael’s heart. Located in Bugembe Uganda, The Koi Koi House is more than an orphanage, it is has become a home to a number of brave and exceptional children who are deaf and disabled. Last year, these children’s futures were in serious jeopardy, with the political climate in Uganda forcing the closure of orphanages and displacing kids all over the country. Thanks to the involvement of Michael Orza, The Giving Circle was able to begin construction this year on the Robin’s Nest, a new home that will house the Koi Koi kids for years to come.

Please take this time to donate to The Giving Circle and help the struggling people of Uganda as well as local communities in need of assistance.
