Patrick Curtin – Director, Field Effect

Pat Curtin is a Field Effect Executive with over 30 years of experience in the field of cyber security and networking. Prior to Field Effect he served for 16 years in roles of progressive responsibility at the Communications Security Establishment, most recently as Director of the organization’s Advanced Capability Development Centre and from 2011 to 2015 he was responsible for CSE’s SOC. Prior to CSE, Pat worked in a variety of roles in networking start ups. He started his career as a communications engineer in the Canadian Armed Forces, a period highlighted by overseas deployments in Africa, the Middle East, and Haiti. Pat holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering. He enjoys spending time with his family and is intensely interested in hockey, the outdoors and history.

Sagi Brody – CTO, Opti9

In 1998, Sagi co-founded Webair, starting on a transformative journey in the internet infrastructure and managed cloud industry. Under his technical leadership, Webair became a leader in the complex hybrid cloud managed disaster-recovery niches. Among his numerous contributions, Sagi was responsible for product R&D, development, management, technical marketing, go-to-market, and many other aspects. With Sagi’s help, Webair was eventually sold, and later merged with two other successful cloud and BCDR organizations, rebranding as Opti9. Sagi still leads technical innovation at Opti9 today, ensuring it remains at the forefront of innovation.
